The purpose of this Project is to describe the impact on learners where technology is ubiquitous and students are able to access digital tools and learning resources on-demand.
This project attempts to answer the following questions:
- How are the outcomes of student learning impacted in an upper elementary school setting where wireless technology is ubiquitous and students have on-demand access to digital tools and resources to complete inquiry-based work?
- How are the outcomes of student learning different for groups of “at risk,” specific needs students, namely (1) students who are identified as “English as a Second Language” and (2) highly able students identified as “gifted”, compared to students who are not identified as being at risk?
- How does teacher practice and the learning environment change with anytime access to mobile computing?
